In memory of the thirty one who fell, and all those who have fallen before them. And in honor of those who continue to serve and for their families you wait back home for their safe return.

An Army Mother’s Prayer

An old lady with snow white hair

Sat by the fire in her rocking chair

With tired eyes she began to read

Words that filled an aching need

Ma, times are rough over here

I try real hard not to show my fear

The nights are cold, and the days are wet

Now, don’t you sit over there and fret

Last night we dug in deep

None of us got any sleep

Bombs exploded across the way

But, we all saw the light of day

Did Pa get the lower forty ploughed?

Sure would like to see that red dirt cloud

Hope he got the hay all bailed

Did he fix the roof from where it hailed?

Well, guess that’s all I got to say

I’ll write again another day

Ma, please don’t cry and frown

You and Pa, take care now

Tears rolled slowly down her cheeks

Not another word, all these weeks

She pulled on a worn out sweater

Gently folded up his letter

Frail and worn she knelt down

Beside her bed upon the ground

Closed her eyes and began to pray

Thank you Lord for another day

Lord my Son is far away

No letter came again today

Keep him safely in your hands

Where he stands on foreign sands

Guide him with your tender care

Take away his pain and fear

Shelter him from all harms

Keep him safe within your arms

Lord I place him in your hand

A soldier fighting for his land

Bring him safely home I pray

And thank you Lord for another day.

Amen

Please help me and my daughter, Sara and others working to spread the word to everyone we can reach. This young 27 year old soldier and his family need our help.

Please help us help Bobby, as he now fights his battle no longer on the battlefield, but from his bed in Walter Reed Medical Center, Baltimore, Maryland. He fought his battles in Iraq and Afghanstain not only for America, but for everyone who lives in a free country. Now it is our time to help Bobby fight his way back to health.

We can only do that by giving back to him a tiny party of what he has sacrificed for each of us. Please, won 't you help me and my daughter help Bobby?

As of last night, Bobby has been put back on the ventilator to help him breathe as an infection attacks his lungs making breathing on his own difficult and more stressful to his body.

Please help us by giving what you can. No amount is too small. Every donation is appreciated and brings hope to Bobby and his family.

Click on the link below and you will be directed to a safe, secure sight where you can make a donation.

Thank you!
